Our Gammon is supplied to us by a local family run farm, a short 8 miles from us, just over the border into Cornwall where they breed, rear and process to the final stage on their own farm. Their large white x Landrace Pigs are fed on home grown cereals, and only have to move a few hundred yards to the abattoir, meaning a saving in fuel and benefit to the environment, and keeping the stress for the pigs during transportation to a minimum.
This Gammon steak is best served with crispy chunky chips, and topped with a large fried Free range egg.
